I’m still trying to wrap my mind about how people are bored with everything shut down.. Stressed due to job loss, completely understand. Watching the news all the time, and panicked? Sure. But boredom?
Personally, I have so many different interests and hobbies that I’m really struggling to figure out which ones to focus on, on top of trying to finish up my last two MBA classes.
There’s amateur radio, which I could probably spend a ton of time on before I even think about desiring to move on – between antenna projects (i.e. the new to me M2 2m antenna sitting in the driveway), workbench projects (between actually needing to assemble a workbench, and projects on the workbench), and just prepping for the June VHF Contest.
Building a new computer – and that serves multiple purposes.. Getting classwork done, radio operations, photo and video editing, some gaming..
There’s the backlog of games on my PS4 that I just have been saving for a rainy day.
There’s photography – which as you can tell I’ve picked back up on, and am even looking into a new camera… though I’m trying not to spend money, and all of these hobbies/projects can become quite costly. This is one I’ve wanted to get back into for the last few years, but just haven’t taken the time to do. I really sometimes think that I should have taken my career in this direction, and would like to do more on the side with it..
Video Editing – I’m trying to piece together videos for RVHFG to launch their YouTube channel, and sitting down to do that has been problematic.. Even had some files corrupted.
Really, if you’re bored, I’d suggest trying a new hobby, I’m sure that there’s something out there that can fill your down time, and you won’t be bored by it!!
