2024 June VHF Contest Plans

K2ET/R will be QRV for the majority of the contest this weekend, I’ll be a minimum of 9 bands (potentially 10 depending on if I have time the next two days to make sure everything is set with 5ghz).. I’ll be running the local 4 grids, on Saturday starting in FN12AU, and moving to FN02VU, and on Sunday hitting FN13GB, and ending in FN03WA – I’ve tried to schedule specific time intervals, but the way I run (Pure Chaos) it just never works out, so I’m more shooting from the hip this contest.. If I happen to stumble on another rover, I’ll gladly move on to another spot within the grid (I have a few backup parking spots scouted).

Between FN13GB and FN02VU I may make some additional stops to make sure to get home stations on higher bands that I sometimes have issues with.

Changes from January that I’ll have in effect are SSB/CW on 222 (finally), and a change to my IF radio, moving from an FT-818 to an IC-705, so I look forward to getting out and flexing this rig a bit more than just some Low Band QRP work from home, but there may be a few growing pains on the switch.
