I’m considering an alternative option to redriling the mast stand in using this roof basket.
The bars are spaced to a point where I could use the existing holes, and for some added support could also use 5” U-Bolts at the crossbar section. This would actually give me more points of contact than the Patriot offered, and more security. It also gives me some added storage for mast sections if I did go the route of microwave antennas off the hitch.
Really wondering how many smiles per kWh I’ll be losing with this thing on though. Think I’ll test a day or two this week to determine how bad the mileage drop is and decide from there.
